Tonic has become one of rock’s most entertaining and enduring bands since their breakthrough in the mid-1990s. The GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-platinum trio, which includes Emerson Hart [vocals, guitar], Jeff Russo [lead guitar], and Dan Lavery [bass], has consistently delivered anthemic and undeniable rock fashioned from eloquent song craft, lyrical honesty, and unshakable melodies. To date, the band has sold more than 4 million records and earned six Top 10 singles, including the chart-topping classic "If You Could Only See" and fan favorites like "You Wanted More" and "Take Me As I Am."
After a five-year hiatus, the three-piece returned to the charts on the heels of Tonic in 2010, landing in the Top 50 of the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart and Top 25 of the Billboard Top Independent Albums Chart.
Outside of Tonic, each musician made a pronounced musical impact of his own, but no matter what, the members find themselves coming back together, hitting the road every year, bringing songs that bring generations of fans together.

Founded in the early 1990s as a duo, Vertical Horizon released three albums independently (There and Back Again, Running on Ice, and Live Stages) and toured extensively.
In 1999, Vertical Horizon signed with RCA and experienced meteoric success with "Everything You Want", selling over two million copies. The title song captured the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 and Adult Top 40 charts, and went on to become the most played single of 2000.
Having carved out a page in the annals of music history, the band also garnered further radio attention with “You’re a God” (#4 on Billboard’s Adult Chart) and “Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning),” which became a 2005 top 20 country hit for country star, Gary Allan.

It's a sound rooted in pop hooks, alt-rock guitars, and the sharp songwriting of frontman Brian Vander Ark. A sound that's taken the band from the golden days of late-'90s modern rock — when The Verve Pipe enjoyed multi-platinum success with hits like "Photograph,” “Never Let You Down” and the #1 single "The Freshmen" — to the rule-breaking creativity of the 2010s and beyond, an era that's found the band reinventing itself with each release.
