Sensory
Safe
Space

ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH from 10:00am - 5:00pm

During the Atomic Fall Fest, the Children's Room at the Oak Ridge Public Library will be designated a SENSORY SAFE SPACE. This area will be designed to accommodate festival goers who need a low-stimulation space to rest and recharge. In this area, we will encourage quiet play, provide calming tools, and designate cozy corners.

A busy festival can be overwhelming, so the Children's Room will offer a respite from the activity with reduced noise & lighting, quiet zones, sensory tools, and trained staff.

The Library would like to thank the folks at Xander's Place for providing the necessary accommodations and staff to help create the Sensory Safe Space.
